The International School of Choueifat – Erbil is situated on a beautiful, spacious campus which includes state-of-the-art sports fields and a superb, all-season running track. We have semi-Olympic and infant heated swimming pools, with a large and well-equipped sports hall and various outdoor basketball courts.
Our school theater has professional-quality sound and lighting systems that enhance our regular drama and music productions. We also have excellent facilities for parents and student presentations and assemblies.
Kindergartners enjoy their own, independent building with colorful hallways and engaging classrooms. They also benefit from their own indoor heated swimming pool, indoor mini-gym, state-of-the-art playroom, large playground, and special car track.
All of our main classrooms for students from grades 1 through 12 are equipped with Interactive Whiteboards to assist student learning. Academic facilities include a specialized art room and a music room. We also have a number of practice rooms for individual music lessons and choirs.
Our Science Department comprises three well-equipped science laboratories for biology, chemistry, and physics, in addition to a Lower School science lab. We have three computer laboratories equipped with state-of-the-art computing equipment, as well as a tablet lab, where our infant students do their PQT and MyOn sessions.
One distinctive feature of our school is our SABIS® Integrated Testing and Learning® (ITL®) Hall with 324 computers, where students are assessed on a regular basis and can revise and review material learned.
Our library consists of over 10,000 books ranging from all levels based on the Accelerated Reader criteria. We have 15 computer stations where students can do their AR quizzes and have access to the Internet to do their research reports. Students in Grade 1 to 12 also benefit from a fully integrated Virtual Library through the MyOn platform, where they have access to over 6,100 titles online.
We have two bright and modern cafeterias where our students can enjoy a nutritious three-course lunch or food they bring from home. We also provide a kiosk within the downstairs cafeteria where students can purchase wholesome sandwiches and fresh fruit at break time or after school.
Our campus includes two spacious, modern medical areas, each comprised of two separate rooms, where our students may go to be well looked after by our qualified nurses in case of accident or illness.
